Official Description:
One year has passed since the seven dwarves helped Snow White defeat the evil queen, and now they’ve retired to a quiet cottage deep in the forest. But happily ever after is never that easy, and evil is rising once again! The evil queen’s followers plan to use the poison apple to bring about her malevolent return. Snow White has tasked you to destroy the devious fruit once and for all, and rumour has it that the only way to rid the world of its evil is to cast it into the very centre of the earth.
Now it falls to you to save the day. Answer the call, hoist your pickaxe, and prepare to dig deeper than ever before to defeat the evil queen!

Verdict:
Improbable Escapes seems to be doing well for itself in Kingston. This ER venue expanded their original location with a Board Game Cafe, and even more rooms. And in the days that followed the Ontario confinement, they put themselves back on the market with online versions of those same rooms (one at first, now 3) that grabbed the attention of players worldwide. I picked one such room (the first they got online, unless I'm mistaken) for my local team's monthly session.
Right off the bat, I was impressed by the room's strong visuals. Everything felt right in place, and the puzzles were all nicely clued, allowing us to make the proper connections. Since Kingston is "within road-trip distance" from home, I even started to regret having just lost the opportunity to play the room in person.

My team played through some parts of the game fairly quickly, then got stuck on others, to the point I was getting a bit worried for a while. Still, in the end, we prevailed once again! Whew.

Verdict:

Ouf.
