Treasure Hunters that you are, you wander into the Valley of the Kings and stumble upon an abandoned excavation site. Lured in by a strange force, you ignore the hurried footprints leading out. As you enter, a voice echoes through the walls. "The Pharaoh's curse!" you gasp. Can you locate the famed Guardian's statue, the only known relic that can break curse, before exiting the Tomb?

Spring 2018

YES - With a little over 17 minutes left - 1 hint used
Verdict:
We had only been planning to play a single room that night, but we did so well in The Gallery, and it was still early, and The Tomb (a staff favorite) was available... and thus we gave in. 😇
Although ancient tombs are definitely part of the popular ER archetypes, it's probably one of the least common, due to the extra work needed to produce an half-decent "abandoned temple" of any sort. Escape Manor's attempt is pretty decent, with a few less locks than usual, and a couple more secret compartments. Visually, however, it didn't impress me as much as A/MAZE's "Lost Temple" had.
We did almost as well this second time around, finishing a bit sooner but having to ask for a hint. Bit of a disappointment, though: the Guardian statue (shown on the picture) was supposed to be stuck in place when we stumbled upon it, and it wasn't. 😞 Fortunately, we didn't figure out it was supposed to be the "end prize" until it suddenly re-locked itself in place.

Verdict:
